Next to you the stars themselves seem to dim
As they too bask in the radiance of your beauty
What paltry words can I use to tell you how I feel?
What language is good enough to speak your precious name?
How can I, the lowest of the low, express my admiration
And undying devotion to the wonder that is you
I fear that I cannot, nor yet I should not.
To do so would sully all that is of you
And yet I must, need to say or do something
Please release me from this spell
It holds me, binds me
When you enter the room I cannot breathe
I cannot speak
But what could I say that would not seem
To make me an idiot, perhaps that’s what I am
For I am and shall forever be
Totally devoted to only thee
(Not to be taken too seriously)
